What's The Steve and Mary L. Harvey Foundation
The mission of the Steve and Mary L. Harvey Foundation is to introduce, coordinate, and facilitate the needs of the target population that The Steve and Mary L. Harvey Foundation has identified as educationally and environmentally deprived. They are dedicated to ensuring consistent, efficient and effective objectives to ensure that each and everyone identified will benefit from the foundation for many years to come.

The Steve and Mary L. Harvey Foundation adopted seven schools in 2001 after touring each school and assessing their needs. With assistance from the Department of Water and Power (DWP) they developed a modest campus beautification plan (planted trees), scheduled educational tours for students, summer internships at DWP as well as distributed 500 dictionaries and 250 thesauruses to the seven schools. Each school also received a check for $15,000 dollars from DWP and an additional $7,000 from the Steve and Mary L. Harvey Foundation to be used in their educational departments.

In 2002, The Steve and Mary L. Harvey Foundation expanded their program and added three more schools from the Los Angeles Unified School District. Their number one objective is to upgrade or add computers and printers to each of the ten schools.
