Official Giveaway Rules
1. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.
2. To enter, e-mail your name, email address, phone and street address to contests@girlsite.org. You may enter the Giveaway on or after May 5, 2003, 12:01 p.m. ET; all entries must be received by 11:59 p.m. ET, June 30, 2003. Limit one entry per person per day. Participants must be legal residents of the 50 United States or the District of Columbia, and 13 years of age or older as of the date of entry.
3. Giveaway subject to all federal, state and local laws and regulations. Void where prohibited or restricted by law.
4. The sponsor of this Giveaway is Girlsite.org (“Sponsor”). Employees, agents and representatives of Sponsor and Tony&Tina Cosmetics. ("Prize Contributor"), any other persons associated with the Sweepstakes, and their household members and immediate families are not eligible to enter or win.
5. By entering, you agree to be bound by these Official Rules, and Sponsor will collect your personal information and store it for purposes of contacting you. Sponsor will not disclose your personal information to any third party. If you do not want to receive communications from Sponsor, please send a request to: GirlSite Magazine, GirlSite.org Winners List - Glamour Giveaway, 1158 26th Street #561, Santa Monica, CA 90403.
6. Drawing will be held on or about July 1, 2003. Five prize-winners will be drawn randomly from the pool of eligible entries. Five winners will receive one glamour giveaway gift pack. The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. All prizes will be awarded.
7. Winner may be notified by mail or by e-mail. Winner (and Winner's parent or legal guardian if the winner is under the age of 18) must comply with the instructions contained in the prize notification, and may be required to furnish proof of identity and age verification, and to sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility, a Liability Release and a Publicity Release (where permitted by law), within fourteen days of the date on the prize notification letter or the date e-mail notification is sent, as applicable, or prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner chosen. Return of any prize notification as undeliverable will result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner. In the event of a dispute concerning the identity of the person submitting an entry, the entry will be deemed to be submitted by the person in whose name the e-mail account is registered.
8. Entries that are lost, late, misdirected, garbled or incompletely received, for any reason, including by reason of hardware, software, browser or network failure, malfunction, congestion or incompatibility at Sponsor or elsewhere, will not be eligible and Sponsor is not responsible for any technical problems related to online entries. Sponsor reserves the right to modify, suspend or terminate this Sweepstakes in the event that it becomes infected by a computer virus or is otherwise technically impaired. In the event of termination, a random drawing will be held from among all eligible entries received at the time of termination. Sponsor assumes no liability for losses incurred as a result of termination of the Giveaway for any reason or for the acts or defaults of any Prize Contributor.
9. Income and other taxes, if any, on the value of the prize are the sole responsibility of the winner.
10. Acceptance of prize constitutes consent to use winner's name, voice, likeness, photograph and biographical information for editorial, advertising and publicity purposes in any and all media, without further compensation, except where prohibited. By entering and/or by accepting a prize, you agree to be bound by these rules and to release Sponsor and the Prize Contributor from any and all liability arising out of your participation in this Sweepstakes and with respect to the awarding, receipt, use and/or misuse of any prize. By entering and/or by accepting the prize, you agree to have your name listed as the winner on www.GirlSite.org, and on Prize Contributor's website.
11. No substitution of prizes except by Sponsor or Prize Contributor in which case a prize of greater or equal value will be substituted. Prizes are not transferable.
12. You agree that you shall not upload, post or transmit any materials which contain any computer viruses, Easter eggs, worms, Trojan Horses or other harmful component or programming routines that are intended to damage, detrimentally interfere with, surreptitiously intercept or expropriate any system, data or personal information.
13. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any entry in the event that an entry become infected or is otherwise technically impaired. Sponsor also reserves the right to disqualify any entrant believed to be attempting to tamper or interfere with the entry process, the conduct of the Giveaway, the operation of the Sponsor or Sponsor’s web site.
14. This Giveaway is governed by the laws of the State of California, and California courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute or litigation arising from or relating to this Sweepstakes. Venue shall only be in Los Angeles, California. Sponsor reserves the right to modify these Official Rules at any time.
