The Rock the Vote
Awards The
11th Annual Rock the Vote Awards were held on February 7, 2004 in
Hollywood in memory of Patrick Lippert. The Awards honored the Dixie
Chicks with the Patrick Lippert Award and Richard Foos with the Founders'
Award. It featured musical performances by N*E*R*D, the Black Eyed
Peas and other surprise guests.

Play It Safe

Have you ever been in a situation where you weren’t sure what
to do? I'm a teen mentor for a program called Girls LEAP. LEAP stands
for Leadership Empowerment and Awareness Program, and it gives girls
the physical and mental skills to defend themselves in scary situations.
Knowing and practicing how to react in a dangerous situation is important
for everyone, but especially for girls. Here are some guidelines on
how to be safe in uncomfortable or threatening situations: |

was introduced to the sport of auto racing by her father, Dave Miller.
Kari currently races in the NASCAR Weekly Racing Series at Raceway
Park in Shakopee, MN. Ironically, Kari’s dad also competed at
